How to wear Hijaab (Head Scarf) trendy style

A lot of you have requested I do a hijaab tutorial so here it is. This scarf is from Bay Trading. There is a similar one in River Island both Hight Street stores. Underband is from Jordan but you can buy similar ones online or from Islamic stores.

Please note I have not been paid to do this video I bought all products with my hard earned savings. This style was something I came up with recently since I have been on Youtube. You can vary it to make it cover more of the neck. I wear it in this way as my neck is very sensitive and I find some other styles (clip under neck) very uncomfortable.

Assalaam Alaykum Warahmatullahi Warbarakatuh sister, i saw some of your videos and masha’Allah the styles are very beautiful. Unfortunately one thing i must say is that this is not the hijab of Islam. Hijab is meant to cover up a woman’s beauty and not expose it, and through these videos it is making the hijab a fashion statement, and a way of beautifying onself instead of covering up ones beauty.

Hijab isn’t just covering the hair either, i before thought it was just that. The hijab is also not adding any additional adornments to yourself in order to make yourself attractive e.g. makeup, perfume, striking colours that draw attention, lavishly decorated abayas, tight fitted clothing describing the size etc.

Also sister, in your videos people can see your arms and neck which should be covered when wearing hijab; no part of the body should be seen except the hands and face.

The hijab is simply a material that should cover ones WHOLE body loosley without describing the shape- that means no trousers as it describes the leg shape and shouldnt be adorned with other materials to make it attractive either. I am not discouraging you from these videos, if you want to do hijab styles then you could do them on a dummy to demonstrate. But please don’t encourage sisters to wear these styles outside as its not hijab, they can wear them at home, for family and friends etc but not outside as its NOT hijab.

Please forgive me if i offended you in ANY way as it was not my intention, part of our religion is to command the good and forbid the evil and also correct one another if we slip up.
